Mount Olive Police Respond to Stolen Vehicle and Shooting

MOUNT OLIVE – On Oct. 30 at approximately 3:30 p.m., an officer with the Mount Olive Police Department responded to the area of Martin St. near John St., in reference to a victim who had reported their vehicle stolen on Oct. 28, and had located their vehicle traveling down Martin Street. While officers were en route to the location, the call was upgraded to a shooting and vehicle crash. Officers arrived and located the juvenile driver of the stolen pickup truck.read more »

MOUNT OLIVE – On the evening of Sept. 16, firefighters from Mount Olive and a Wayne County EMS unit were dispatched to an entrapment call to the Mount Olive Laundromat on N. Breazeale Ave. Mount Olive Fire Chief Greg Wiggins, was the first to arrive on the scene and found a small child had climbed into one of the toy vending machines in the rear of the building.read more »
