Arrest Made in Aug. 6 Shooting of Juvenile

On Aug. 6. at 6:18 a.m., Goldsboro Police Department A-Shift officers, along with Wayne County EMS and Goldsboro Fire, were dispatched to 117 Astor Ct. in reference to the report of a shooting. Once on the scene, an 8-year-old juvenile was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the left lower leg. The juvenile was transported to UNC Health Wayne and then transferred to ECU Health in Greenville for further treatment of his injury.read more »

On Saturday morning at approximately 12:27 a.m., the Goldsboro Fire Department responded to 410 S. Leslie St. in reference to a fully-involved structure fire. After approximately 20 minutes of firefighting, the flames were brought under control.
