On Aug. 6. at 6:18 a.m., Goldsboro Police Department A-Shift officers, along with Wayne County EMS and Goldsboro Fire, were dispatched to 117 Astor Ct. in reference to the report of a shooting. Once on the scene, an 8-year-old juvenile was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the left lower leg. After approximately 20 minutes of firefighting, the flames were brought under control.
