On Thursday, at approximately 10:11 a.m., Goldsboro Fire Department units were dispatched to a structure fire at 3201 Central Heights Road, Lot 217.
Engines 2, 3, 4, 5, Tower-1 and Battalion-1 responded with 16 personnel to extinguish the fire. The Fire Chief and Fire Marshal also responded after the initial dispatch.
Crews arrived on the scene at 10:18 a.m. to a mobile home structure with smoke and fire showing. They initiated a fire attack and had the fire under control at 10:30 a.m.
Three adults and four children were displaced and are being assisted by the property owner and the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
