PIKEVILLE, N.C. — The Town of Pikeville is inviting residents and members of the surrounding community to have a voice in the town’s future during a public input session on its proposed Land Use Plan.
The session will be held Monday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m. at Pikeville Town Hall.
During the meeting, representatives from the Eastern Carolina and Western Piedmont Council of Governments will present a draft of the Land Use Plan and gather feedback from those in attendance.
The plan is intended to help guide future decisions involving growth, development and land use within the community.
Town officials are encouraging anyone interested in Pikeville’s future development to attend the session, review the proposed plan and share comments before it moves forward in the approval process.
Feedback received during the meeting will be considered before the Land Use Plan is presented to the Pikeville Board of Commissioners for final approval in the coming weeks.
