Joan Sutton Roberson, age 81, died Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Davis Healthcare Center in Wilmington. Born in Sampson County to the late Julius Ballard Sutton and Reba Jones Sutton. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Sutton Harrell, and a brother Ballard Keith Sutton. Ms. Roberson was a member of College Acres Baptist Church in Wilmington,
Services will be by the Graveside at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 3:00 pm. The Rev. James Herring will officiate The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters Nicole Wells (Brandon), and Monica Jordan, and sister, Minnie Mae McCullen. grandchildren, Elizabeth Jordan, Sidney Jordan, Jessica Wells and Jake Wells.
