Arrest Made in Breaking and Entering, Larceny Case

On the following dates, May 7, July 2, and Sept. 15 the Goldsboro Police Department responded to alarm activations at Sam’s Club at 2811 N. Park Drive. An unknown subject broke in through the front window and went to the jewelry area. The subject then smashed open jewelry cases and took numerous items of jewelry. He then fled the area in a small gold car.read more »

Incident on Capps Bridge Road Leaves Suspect Dead

PRINCETON – At 3:06 this afternoon, Wayne County 911 received a call from an individual at 219 Capps Bridge Road in Princeton in reference to a suspicious armed individual at their residence.
After arriving, deputies were approached by a male suspect armed with a shotgun. Verbal commands were given to the suspect and he did not comply. After raising the shotgun and ignoring verbal commands, the suspect sustained a gunshot wound from deputies on the scene. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene and no identification is available at this time.
This incident, along with the use of force, is being investigated. The SBI is also now on the scene.
