W.A. Foster Center Closed Until Sept. 6

A popular Goldsboro recreation facility will be closed for the remainder of the week.  Goldsboro Parks and Recreation has announced the W.A. Foster Center will be closed through Sunday, September 5th for cleaning and maintenance.  The W.A. Foster Center is scheduled to reopen to the public on Monday, September 6, at 10 AM. read more »

Tube The Neuse Postponed Until Aug. 21

Tube the Neuse has been delayed once again.  Goldsboro Parks and Recreation has announced this weekend’s Tube the Neuse event has again been postponed.  The new date is August 21st.  The popular event sends participants on a leisurely tube ride down the Neuse River.  River levels have been high following storms earlier this week.  read more »

After an extensive search, the City of Goldsboro has selected Felicia Brown as the new director of the Parks and Recreation Department. Brown has served as interim director since December 2018.
