September 16, 2026, 77, Goldsboro – Judy Pope Musgrave, daughter of the late Cecil and Louise Pope of the Belfast Community of Goldsboro, North Carolina, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, W.C. Pope, and her sister, Peggy Pope Barnes.
Judy shared a loving marriage with her husband, Aaron Donald Musgrave. Together they built a life centered around faith, family and friendship.
She was the proud mother of two daughters, Dede Uzzell and husband, Brad and Caroline Parkhurst and husband, James. Her family grew to include four beloved granddaughters, Savannah Sauls, Abby Sauls, Macy Parkhurst, and Avery Parkhurst, and one cherished great-granddaughter, Casey Wall.
Judy treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nothing brought her more joy than watching the generations of her family grow and remain close to one another.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her faith, her kindness to others, and the many friendships she cherished over the years. Her life is a reminder that the greatest blessings come from loving others well and sharing life’s everyday moments together.
Her family and friends will remember her with gratitude for the love she gave so freely and example she set.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Antioch O.F.W.B. Church, located at 1407 Antioch Road NE, Pikeville, NC. A service to celebrate Judy’s life will follow at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary, with Pastor Al Warrick officiating. Interment will be in the Musgrave Family Cemetery, located across from the church. At other times the family will be at the family home.
In keeping with Judy’s bright and joyful personality, her family invites those attending the service to wear bright colors as a special way of honoring her life.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to 3HC for the love and care they provided Judy during her most recent days. They also extend their sincere thanks to Rosie for her faithfulness, compassion, and all she has done for Judy throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Judy’s memory to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home in Middlesex, NC
