Nurse Aide I and Phlebotomy graduates received pins and certificates at the ceremony, signifying the successful completion of their programs.
WCC Vice President of Workforce Continuing Education Services and Community Engagement Renita Dawson said the pinning ceremony represents the graduates’ determination, sacrifice, resilience, and courage to take a meaningful step toward a new professional future.
“A pin is a symbol of achievement, commitment, and service,” Dawson said. “It recognizes the knowledge and skills you have developed, but it also recognizes the responsibility that comes with entering a profession dedicated to caring for others.”
WCC Interim Director of Allied Health Joyce Hamilton-Fleming commended the graduates for moving forward in their professional journey. “We are honored to have been a part of your journey and look forward to the impact that you will make in our community,” she said.
Graduates with the highest grade point average in each class were honored during the pinning ceremony. Nurse Aide I graduates Sophie Elizee, A’Mari George, and Jaelyn Williams and Phlebotomy graduate Barbara Bucher were recognized for this achievement.
