Ronnie Glenn Woodard, 72, of Princeton, passed away Saturday morning June 20, 2026 with his family around him at Kitty Askins of Goldsboro. He was born June, 22, 1953 in Wayne County to the late Charlie Glenn and Ladis Mae Kornegay Woodard. He was married to Sara Diane Sasser Woodard. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law; Jack Sasser.
Ronnie loved cars, mainly his 1951 Chevrolet Truck. He was a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church for 46 years. Ronnie was an Automotive Instructor at Wayne Community College for almost 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, and being outside. He loved the beach music concerts in Benson at the Grove Downtown and mostly his fur baby, Izzybelle.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Diane Sasser Woodard; mother-in-law, Sara G. Sasser; sister-in-law, Lib Coombs and several cousins.
His Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations. The Funeral will be conducted at 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Rudolph B. West officiating. The Committal service will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 am June 24th in the Progressive Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
