June 15, 2026, 86, Goldsboro – Charles Albert Loftin, age 86, passed away Monday evening at UNC/Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Born in Duplin County, NC, he was the son of the late William Rector Loftin and Vashti Pickett Loftin. He was a retired Forklift Mechanic with Western Carolina Forklift, Mt. Olive Pickle Company and Georgia Pacific.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Patricia “Trish” Miller; grandchildren, Dylan Miller and Alexis Marie Miller & fiancé, Chase Summerlin, Brianna Lancaster, brother, William “Bill” Loftin (Lynn); sister, Mary Bruff (Bob); special cat, “Pressy”; great-grandbabies, Cooper, Lessie, Mori, Mavis, Salem, Bolt and Noah.
Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Billie Jo Coltren.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Kendall and Pam Lee for all the love and support that you had shown to our family throughout the years.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 am at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Toler officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of his daughter.
