May 29, 2026, 61, Kansas City, KS – Mr. Cassius Battle, 61, of Kansas City, KS, transitioned from labor to reward on May 29, 2026 at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, KS.
A public viewing will be held from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2026 at Woods Chapel UAFWB with the family present from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at high noon with visitation from 11 am to 12 pm at Woods Chapel UAFWB Church, 928 East New Hope Road, Goldsboro, NC.
His mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Baldwin Cemetery, Powell Road, Elroy Community.
He is survived by his wife Crystal Norman Battle of Kansas City, KS; his son, Cassius Battle Jr. (Lacey); daughters, Cassia Battle, Emerald Nicole and Simone Lanik; brothers, Mel Ott Battle (Shelbia), Keith Battle (Antoinette), Rodney Wright and Scottie Rodgers (Tonya); sisters Carole Battle and Oteria Bell (Daniel); 10 grandchildren; and many loving and devoted relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 455 Millers Chapel Road, Goldsboro, NC in the Elroy Community.
