Eddie Carroll Lewis, 65, passed away peacefully Sunday evening at UNC Health Wayne Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Wayne County, NC, he was the son of the late Harold and Betty Kelly Lewis. A long-time carpenter, he enjoyed working with his hands, being outdoors, and was always proud of his jobs. In his free time, he loved riding his motorcycle and golf-cart, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and just living life to the fullest. He made friends every where he went and was a wonderful friend to many.

A Celebration of Life to honor Eddie will be held Thursday May 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyndall Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Dail officiating. The family will receive friends before the service at 10:00 A.M. and the burial will follow  after the service at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive. In true Eddie style, all motorcycles are welcome for his final ride.

Eddie Lewis is survived by his children, Josh Lewis and wife, Heather of Mount Olive, Lindsey Rose and husband, Cody of Mount Olive; a brother and best friend, Freddie Lewis and wife, Susan of Mount Olive; beloved grandchildren, Jackson and Embry; mother of his children Teri Lewis; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
