Arturo Mota Salazar, 54, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. Born in Mexico on December 15, 1969, he was the son of Luis Mota and the late Silvia Salazar.

In addition to his father, Arturo is survived by his wife, Julia Perez-Marin; children, Scott Mota and wife, Dana, Jeremy Mota, and wife, Reyna Garcia, Bryan Mota, and Heidi Mota; grandson, Stefan Mota; siblings, Ana Belen Mota and husband, Juan Carlos Figueroa, Maria del Socorro Mota, Maria Dolores Mota Salazar, and husband, Alfredo Garcia, Erika Salazar Munguia, and husband, Javier Guzman Lopez, Roberto Mota, Christian Mota, and wife, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez, Juan Ramirez, Esteban Salazar Munguia, and Jose Alejandro Ramirez Salazar and wife, Maribel Moran Galicia; step-mother, Cristina Estrella Cortez. Arturo is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members whom he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Kenly Funeral Service from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wilson. Interment will follow the service at Kenly Cemetery.

For many years, Arturo worked as a DJ servicing many functions. He felt most comfortable outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing.

Nothing was more important to Arturo than his family. Each moment he spent with them was a memory he cherished forever. Arturo will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
