Troy Edwin Jernigan, 78, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Wayne UNC Healthcare in Goldsboro surrounded by his family. Troy was born in Wayne County to the late Troy and Laura Sills Jernigan on June 2, 1946.

Troy proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired after 29 years of service with A.P. Parts Company in Goldsboro.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Ronnie Weaver officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Troy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anne York Jernigan; sons, Troy Jernigan, Jr. and wife Karri Jo of Calypso and Eric Todd Jernigan of Pikeville; sisters, Ruby Corlew of Goldsboro and Carolyn Fields of Goldsboro; brother, Allen Sills of Goldsboro; and three grandchildren, LizieGrace Jernigan, Troy Edwin Jernigan, III and Eli Jernigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Troy’s memory to Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church, 3302 North Hwy. 111, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
