September 29, 2024, 82, Goldsboro —
Ingrid Kasting Aycock, 82, passed away early Sunday morning, September 29, 2024, at Lawndale Manor in Garner. Ingrid was born in Germany to the late Friederich and Elfriede Kasting on November 26, 1941. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Gordon Aycock, earlier this year.
With a marriage lasting 61 years, Ingrid and Gordon built a life they loved. She was a loving mother to her two sons and the best “Nana” her grandchildren could ask for.
Ingrid retired from Piece Goods after more than fifteen years where she started as a part-time clerk and ended up as a regional manager.
Holding a deep faith, Ingrid was a member of her church, Daniels Chapel. Actively attended as long as she was able. God was always first in Ingrid’s life, above all else. Her church, Daniels Chapel, and church family were very important to her.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Andy Rose officiating.
Ingrid is survived by her sons, Michael Gordon Aycock of Chester, Virginia, and Mark Edward Aycock of Garner; grandsons, Christopher Aycock, Justin Aycock, and Ryan Aycock; and sister, Uta Kasting Acker of California.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Daniels Chapel, 2802 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
