Francis “Frank” Marczyk, 71, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024. Born in Elmira, N.Y. on August 11, 1953, he was the son of the late Francis Marczyk and Betty Shook Marczyk.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Kelso Marczyk; his children, Margaret Matthews and husband, Thomas, Sara Plato and husband, Eric and Jeremy Marczyk and wife, Haide; his grandchildren, Leonidas Mathews, Liesel Plato, Lieke Plato and Thomas Marczyk; his siblings, Elizabeth Maynard, Joseph Marczyk, Carol Marczyk, Thomas Marczyk, John Marczyk, Mary Updike, Joyce Zinn; and several nieces and nephews.

Services have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home.
