Robert Edward Lee, 63, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Wayne UNC Healthcare. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 1, 1960, he was the son of the late John Lee, Sr. and Theresa Ferraro Lee.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, John Lee; and sisters, Barbara Suggs and Carol Jenkins.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Cooper Lee; children, Jonathan Lee (Brittany), Kerrie Honeycutt (James) and Cameron Crawford (Christina); grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Chloe, Adriana, Colton, Caroline, Maxton, and Cael. Robert is also survived by his siblings, Greg Lee, Ginny Johnson, and Diane Lee; sister-in-law, Catherine Baggett (Mike); and nieces and nephews, Melody Gurley, Gregory Lee, Kristen Gilpen, Hannah Lee, Taylor Richards, and many others.

For many years, Robert worked with heavy machinery as a foreman. His love for work and constantly staying busy was evident in his everyday life. Not one with idle hands, Robert loved nothing more than tinkering on different projects. Robert could often be seen on the back of his motorcycle. Nothing made Robert happier than going down the road on his Harley Davidson.

Nothing was more important in Robert’s life than that of his family. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he loved them a little more each time they were together. His love for his family knew no bounds. Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

A service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Services will conclude with interment at Golden Gate Memorial Gardens in Pikeville.
