Ms. Peggy J. Chestnutt, 81, passed from this earthly walk of life on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm with a viewing from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm at St. Joseph FWB Church, 280 Claridge Nursery Road, Goldsboro, NC.

She was born on March 15, 1943, in Duplin County, NC to Robert Dudley Hooks and Mary Lillie Wells Hooks. She is survived by her children and other loving relatives and friends.
