Edith Jeanette Pollock Morgan, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in Johnston County on August 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Wright Pollock and Junnie Mae Edwards Pollock

In addition to her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Rose Scott, Ethel Hales, Gray Mitchell, and Joe Pollock.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ashley Morgan; children, Audrey Pittman (Ricky), Tim Morgan (Barbara), and Ronnie Morgan; grandchildren, Jayden Adams, Danielle Pittman (Anthony Hamilton) and Nikki Brooks (Corey); great-grandchildren, Aria, Laken, Anthony, Dominick, and one more on the way. Jeanette is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Rose; brother, Eddie Pollock (Laura); and many nieces and nephews.

For many years, Jeanette was a homemaker. She, along with her husband, Ashley, loved traveling. Over the course of their sixty-five years of marriage, they traveled to 48 states, Canada, and Mexico. When at home, Jeanette could often be seen outside working in her garden and admiring her beautiful flowers. Her home was filled with many collectibles and knick-knacks that she collected throughout the years.

Nothing was more important in Jeanette’s life than her family. Her love for them knew no bounds and each moment spent together with them was a memory she would cherish forever. Jeanette loved cooking for get-togethers and she was known to be an excellent cook. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

A graveside service to celebrate Jeanette’s life will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Crocker Family Cemetery, 5455 Flower Hill Road, Kenly, NC 27542. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
