Katie is survived by her mother and step-father, Linda H. Davis and John Davis of Mount Olive; brother, James Harvell and fiance, Amanda, of Seven Springs; nephews, Pacey and Braxton Harvell, both of Seven Springs; Aunt Donna and husband, Bill, of Grantham, Aunt Tracey and husband, Jerry, of Mount Olive; Aunt Teresa and Uncle Chachi Torres, of Mount Olive; Aunt Christine of Thomasville, Uncle George and wife, Sherrie Dee, of Mount Olive; grandfather, George Harvell of Mount Olive; Aunt Ann and husband, Joe, of Mount Olive; Aunt Debbie and husband, Donny, of Calypso; Aunt Elaine of Mount Olive; Uncle J.E. Stroud of Louisiana; and several cousins.

Katie has touched so many people over the years, whether it be doctors, nurses, nurse’s aides, or case workers.  She would tell you through her eyes what was going on and when she would give you that ear-to-ear grin would leave a mark on your heart.  She never forgot a face.  She truly loved her brother, James.  Every time he would be around her, she would light up the room with her smile.  She was such a sweet and loving angel.  It’s your time to now go rest high on that mountain, and we will be with you again, angel.  We all love you so very much and we will be thinking about you daily, till we see you again.

A service will be held at the Tyndall Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, at 12:00 Noon.  Pastor Jeff Dail will officiate, with burial to follow in the Roberts Family Cemetery.  Visitation will be before the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m.  At other times, friends and relatives may visit the home of her brother, near Seven Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Duke Children’s Hospital in memory of Katie.
