Beverly Sasser Howell, 76, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Wayne County on August 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Linwood and Rachel Rhodes Sasser.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson Howell, Jr.

Beverly is survived by her sons, Brian Howell and wife, Majena and Eric Howell and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Cody Howell and wife, Holly, Courtney Balaguer and husband, Aaron, Taylor Howell, and Walker Howell; great-granddaughter, Skylar; and a brother, Steve Sasser and wife, Betty.

Along with her husband, Beverly was the owner and operator of Howell Septic Tank Service where she served as the bookkeeper.

A beacon of kindness and compassion, Beverly touched the lives of all who knew her. Her unwavering spirit and boundless dedication to family and friends were evident in every aspect of her life.

A woman of deep faith, Beverly spent much time immersed in the scriptures. Her love for the Lord was paramount in her life, and she trusted God’s Word to lead her daily. Beverly attended Pleasant Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville.

She spent many hours outside simply appreciating the day and all that God had provided. Some of Beverly’s most treasured times were spent in her yard tending to her flowers and admiring nature’s beauty.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service to celebrate Beverly’s life at 2:30 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Barry Stallings officiating.
