Bonnie Kay House, 71, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh. Born on November 27, 1952, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie House and Gladys Raper House.

Bonnie Kay House will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and unwavering love for her family. A devoted mother and grandmother, she brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Bonnie had a deep love for animals and was an avid gardener, finding joy in nurturing plants and flowers, which reflected her nurturing nature. Her kindness and generosity touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on her community. She cherished her friendships and had a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved. Bonnie’s legacy will continue through her children and grandchildren, who carry forward her warmth and compassion.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Angel Kirby; her son, Scott Kirby and wife, Jennifer; her grandchildren, Haleigh Fox and husband, Jake, Cameron, Bailey and Alex Kirby, Connor Miller; great-grandson, Carter Fox; her twin sister, Connie Harmon and husband, Wade; sisters, Shirley Shirley and Jean House; and her brother, Ronnie House.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hulon Lee House.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A funeral service to honor Bonnie’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Shirley Shirley officiating the service. Following the service, the family will gather at the House of Harmony, which was Bonnie’s home away from home.
