WINTERVILLE — Rhett Johnson collected three hits, Davis Albert hit a home run, and five different players had multiple hits as Wayne County American Legion Post 11 defeated Pitt County Post 39 14-4 on Tuesday evening to take a 2-0 lead in the Area I East finals.

Wayne County (29-8) hosts Pitt County in Game 3 of the Area I East Finals at 7:30 on Wednesday at Carolina Athletic Park.
