Wendy Suzanne Pittman Strickland, 64, passed away Friday afternoon while being cared for at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. She is survived by her husband of the home, Joseph Donald Strickland; their children, Ashley Strickland of Seven Springs, Jason Garner of Goldsboro, Alexander Ray Garner of Goldsboro, and William D. Strickland of Seven Springs. Wendy is also survived by her siblings; Kenneth Pittman, Jr., and his wife Denise of Santee, CA, Billy Pittman and wife Chris of Indialantic, FL, Cindy Ferguson and husband Ken of New Bern, Martha Verhoff and husband Steven of Richlands, Nicholas Pittman and his wife Lynda of Miler City, OH, and Jesse Pittman and his wife Jessica of Johnstown, OH.

Wendy is also survived by six precious grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Ray Pittman and Ruth Sullivan Smith; and a brother, Michael Pittman.

Wendy spent her working career as an Engineer with SPX of Goldsboro.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 11 am, in the Strickland Family Cemetery of Seven Springs, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening during the hours of 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
