Billy Rose Holland, 82, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wayne County on August 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Roland and Lillian Valentine Holland.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Edith Lancaster and Bonnie Faye Hales, and brother, Albert Holland.

Billy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Grant Holland; sons, Jeff Holland and Brent Holland and wife, Ginger; daughter, Jennifer Holland; grandchildren, Danielle Holland, Peyton Holland, and Skylar Holland; and brother, Gary Holland.

Billy owned and operated Holland Auto Parts for 41 years. He loved working in his parts store and interacting with his customers. Billy loved restoring his old tractors, racing, and drag racing.

Billy was a man of service, he spent six years in the North Carolina National Guard. He also served with the Goldsboro Rescue Squad where he retired as a captain.

A dedicated and faithful member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro, he was recently recognized for 50 years of service to his beloved church.

Family was paramount to Billy. He worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Billy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Victory Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Mike McAuley and Pastor Fred Crank officiating. Interment will follow at Holland Hill Cemetery in Pinkney. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 1806 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534, or to the charity of your choice.
