Timmy Carrol Allen

Timmy Carrol Allen

April 27, 2024, 62, Goldsboro —

Timmy Carrol Allen left his earthly home peacefully on Saturday, April 27th. Timmy had a heart of gold and loved life. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and he never knew a stranger.

One of Timmy’s greatest pleasures was talking on his CB Radio, and he was known to the CB world as “Little T.” He quickly gained a second family in the radio world and had calls reaching out to him from all over the world. “How about you Little T, do you have your ears on”, was coming across his radio all of the time. He was quick to reply to every call out with excitement in his voice, “That’s a big 10:4, go ahead, you got me”.

Timmy worked with his brother, Todd, for 20 years riding along in a big truck selling and servicing convenience stores with supplies. Timmy loved greeting all the store clerks and selling them things as they entered the truck. He would often have things already pulled from the truck shelves before the buyers came out, knowing what they should be out of or new things they needed to see.

He loved working, traveled many miles, and saw many places all while, of course, continuing to shout out those calls to his CB family. He would even pick up conversations with truckers on the road while riding as they passed by.  He also loved NASCAR racing and was a big Dale Earnhardt fan and had acquired a great NASCAR collection.

Timmy was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Allen Forbes; stepfather, Kit Forbes; father, Walter Allen and twin brother, Jimmy Allen.  Timmy is survived by his brothers, Todd Allen and his wife Julie; Andy Allen and his wife, Jeannie; Bryon Allen and his wife, Stacie, and Jason Hawks; stepmother, Jasa Allen and many nieces and nephews in whom he loved dearly.

A service to celebrate Timmy’s life will be held Friday, May 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with burial to follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Services entrusted to the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
