On Saturday, at approximately 4:32 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a welfare check in the 400 block of Fussell Street. 

Upon officers’ arrival, they located two subjects suffering from gunshot wounds inside a residence. Emergency Medical personnel responded and pronounced both subjects deceased.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were contacted and responded to the scene. The deceased subjects were identified as Jamelle Monque Best, 53, of Goldsboro, and Elainna Michelle Ebersole, 44, of Goldsboro.
