April 15, 2024, 76, Bailey, NC —

Luther Floyd Starling, 76, of Bailey, N.C., passed away at Rex Hospital on Monday, April 15, 2024.  He was born on October 20, 1947, to the late James Monroe Starling and Mary Hilda Peedin Starling.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Woodard Starling, and son, James Michael Starling. 

Luther loved going to church every Sunday and anything to do with fishing.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations of Princeton. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

He is survived by sons:  Timothy Charles Starling (Ruth Gossett) and Rayford (R.J.) Woodall, Jr.; brother, James Robert Starling (Toni); sister, Theresa “Diane” Starling Daughtry (Danny), 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and beloved friend, Virginia Bissette.
