James Allen Bolduc, 77, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at ECU Medicine in Greenville. James was born in San Francisco, California to the late Edward and Verne Frances Bolduc on December 21, 1946. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Bernadette Bolduc; brother, Michael Bolduc, and cousin, Roger.

Serving our country in the United States Air Force, Mr. Bolduc retired with the rank of Tech Sergeant with the 56th Air Command. During his tenure, he received numerous decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Longevity Service Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation, Outstanding Unit Award, and the NCO Professional Education.

Upon retirement, Mr. Bolduc owned and operated his lawn care business in the Goldsboro area for many years while also attending Wayne Community College earning a degree in Turf Management. He would go on to help build two of the newer buildings of Wayne Community College. With vast mechanical knowledge, he also worked with the staff of Delmus’ Hardware and in the auto parts industry around Goldsboro.

Mr. Bolduc had a deep love for his family, showing his devotion through spending as much time with them as possible. With a heart of compassion for others, he was always willing to help someone in need. James was formerly a member of Pinewood Presbyterian Church when living in Goldsboro.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024, in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 1400 S. Elm Street, Greenville, NC. The family will greet friends following the service from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro with full military honors.

Mr. Bolduc is survived by his wife, Rebecca Page Bolduc; son, Justin Bolduc (Nikki); daughter, Kimberly Curtis (Craig); grandchildren, Avery Bolduc, Haven Bolduc, Spencer Curtis and Beckham Curtis; sisters, Charlene Young (Tom) and Lori Saltz (Dr. Barry); sister-in-law, Valeria Bolduc; nieces and nephews, Edwin Young, Jason Young, Deanna Young, Dr. Adam Saltz, Mason Saltz, and Shelby Bolduc; and many cousins in California he loved very much.
