Goldsboro Police Respond to Call of Another Deceased Body

On Friday at approximately 11:16 a.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to an Assist EMS call on the 2000 block of E. Ash St.

The reporting party discovered an unresponsive male in the residence. When EMS arrived, they confirmed that there was a deceased male at the location. The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were contacted and responded to the scene.

With the assistance of nearby family, the deceased was identified as Bryan Lee Jackson, 42, of Goldsboro. Jackson is the fifth deceased body the Goldsboro Police Department has responded to since Apr. 12.

The investigation into the cause and manner of death is ongoing, however, no foul play is suspected currently. The Goldsboro Police Department would like to thank those who rendered assistance from the Goldsboro Fire Department and Wayne County EMS.
