Elder Donald R. Kornegay, 72, completed his earthly assignment on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 12:00 pm with a viewing from 11:00 am to 11:45 am at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at 2:00 pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.

He was born on October 15, 1951, in Wayne County, NC to David Paul Kornegay and Inez Blackman Kornegay. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jewel Jones Kornegay; his children, and other loving relatives and friends.
