April 16, 2024, 67, Mount Olive —

Eugenia “Jeannie” Carroll McArthur, 67, resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Tuesday morning, April 16, 2024, at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.

Jeannie had been employed in area sewing factories.  She worshipped with the Mount Olive congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was originally from Suffolk County, New York.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Krystal McArthur of Kenly; a grandson, Noah McArthur, of Kenly; three sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl McArthur; her parents, Ernest and Betty Jo Carroll; and an infant son, William Douglas McArthur.

The McArthur family will have visitation at Tyndall Funeral Home on Friday, April 19, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
