April is the month of the military child.

Purple Up! is being held at 9 a.m. on Friday at the dandelion mural by the Paramount Theatre.

This will be a community photo to show support for military kids. Purple is the color you get when you mix all the colors of the different military branches.

The community is invited to come out and support military children and their families.
