Structure Fire Breaks Out on Saturday Afternoon

Around 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon, firefighters from Rosewood, Little River, and Belfast were dispatched to the scene of a working structure fire on Westwood Drive.

Heavy smoke could be seen coming from a fully involved garage-style building located behind a residence.

By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the fire had already engulfed the building and had started to spread to the wooden fence of a nearby residence and the grass line behind the structure.

The strong wind gust blowing from the west toward the east didn’t help firefighters as they battled the blaze with several attack lines. The quick actions of the firefighters managed to keep the fire from reaching other nearby structures.
