Sylvia Grady Pilkington, 73, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Pruitt Health in Farmville. Born in Wayne County on September 5, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Doyle and Margaret Herring Grady.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don Grady.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Margaret Wiggins (Shawn Videc) of Sevierville, TN; grandsons, Michael Wiggins and Matthew Wiggins; great-grandson, Jase Wiggins; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Sage Wiggins; siblings, David Grady (Sherry), Katherine Henderson (David), and Joe Grady (Terri); and several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia owned and operated a home repair business for many years. She enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden, shopping at thrift stores, and creating something from nothing.

A graveside service to celebrate Sylvia’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Dave Fishman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
