Jewel Dorne Boseman Laws, 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 5, 2024. Born in Harnett County on October 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Russell DeLeon Boseman and Lessie Turlington Boseman.

In addition to her parents, Jewel is preceded in death by many special friends that she made throughout the years.

Jewel is survived by her children, Maria Stevens and Michael Stevens; step-daughter Mary Elizabeth Laws; and sisters, Sue Carol Perreault and Patsy Ruth Corella. Jewel is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.

For many years, Jewel worked as an LPN at Wayne Urology. She loved and cared for all of her patients with dignity. Jewel was a resident of the Grantham community. She was a faithful member of Falling Creek Community Church and served as the church treasurer for over three decades. Jewel loved cooking, knitting, and working in her garden.

A service to celebrate Jewel’s life will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Falling Creek Community Church in the sanctuary. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
