Lillie Buchan Grady entered her heavenly home and joined her husband LG on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Lillie was born in Lenoir County to the late Joseph and Mildred Buchan on June 19, 1939. In addition to her parents, and husband LG, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Donald Buchan, sister Marie Waller and husband Bobby, niece Donna Lance, and great-nephew, Jimmy Lee Loftis, Jr.

Lillie is survived by her son Cale Grady and wife, Kristy; grandchildren Jameson Grady and wife Ashley, and Caleb Grady, bonus grandchildren; Gracie Bradshaw and Jacob Bradshaw; and a special friend, Barbara Shepard. Lillie was loved by her many nieces and will be greatly missed by everyone who crossed her path.

Lillie graduated from Moss Hill School and worked for Carolina Telephone which later became Sprint for almost 40 years. Lillie enjoyed taking care of her family, especially Jameson and Caleb. She was always in the carpool lane early to pick them up and take them to get some Bojangles. Lillie loved her Lord and was a dedicated member of Daly’s Chapel OFWB Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Daly’s Chapel Church, Hwy. 903 South, Seven Springs. Committal will follow in the Quinn Family Cemetery. Following the committal, the family will receive friends in the church sanctuary.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to 3HC Home Health and Hospice and to her caregivers Denise Wisener, Joyce Smith, Christi Smith, Gaynell Carmack, and Connie Collins who provided special love and care for Lillie and her family.
