Mrs. Brenda J. Artis, 65, answered her Heavenly Father’s call on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11:00 am with a viewing from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at St. James Christian Church, 1739 M.L.K. Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC. She will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.

She was born on April 5, 1958, in Pitt County, NC to Ernest L. Newton and Deloris W. Edwards Newton. She is survived by her husband, Amos Artis Jr.; children, and other loving relatives and friends.
