Students Visit Maxwell Center for Career Fair

The Maxwell Center was full of Wayne County’s high school students, numerous local companies, and higher educational institutions at the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce’s high school career fair.

The career fair provided public and private high school students the opportunity to engage with companies in public safety, health care, education, public works, the automotive industry, banking, heating and air, media, and many others.

Elise St. Sauvuer, an Eastern Wayne High School student, was eager to interact with local companies and learn more about different career opportunities. Currently, St. Sauvuer is leaning toward early childhood education.

“I want to learn more about different colleges and careers,” St. Sauvuer said. “I like early childhood education because I want to be there for children so they can depend on me.”

After the career fair, a job fair was held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for adults seeking career advancement and educational growth.
