JoAnn Dew, 76, passed away at Wayne UNC Health Care on March 28, 2024. Born in New Hanover County on June 28, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Joe Robert Dew and Donnie Wethington Dew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jack Douglas Dew, and sister, Bonnie Dew.

JoAnn is survived by her sister, Jenny Presson; and brother Joe Robert Dew. Joann is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly.

JoAnn was a resident of O’Berry Center in Goldsboro for over 45 years. While there, she was never seen without one of her baby dolls. She loved and cared for her baby dolls more than anything. Nothing made JoAnn happier than having a Coca-Cola to drink. JoAnn has left a lasting impression on all those who helped care for her.

A graveside service to celebrate JoAnn’s life will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11:30 at the Rowland Cemetery in Rowland, NC.
