Suspects Arrested in Three Separate Shootings

On Saturday at approximately 6:04 p.m., officers from the Goldsboro Police Department received three separate ShotSpotter alerts in the areas of 105 Bright St., 909 E. Walnut St., and 114 Lionel St., totaling 42 rounds being fired.

Officers located a vehicle that had been damaged at 907 E. Walnut St.

On Sunday at approximately 8:20 p.m., officers from the Goldsboro Police Department received a ShotSpotter alert in the area of 902 E. Walnut St., totaling eight rounds.

It was discovered that the residence at 907 E. Walnut St., which was occupied, had been struck by the gunfire.

On Monday at approximately 12:51 a.m., officers from the Goldsboro Police Department received a ShotSpotter alert in the area of 806 E. Walnut St., totaling eight rounds.

Officers arrived on the scene within minutes and located three suspects who had fled to a nearby building by breaking into the building. Officers also located a firearm and ammunition.

Upon further investigation by the patrol officers, it was determined that the suspects had been responsible for the above-listed incidents.

The suspects were arrested and charged. The ShotSpotter gunfire detection system, along with members of the community, was instrumental in solving these incidents.
