March 16, 2024, 60, Pikeville —

James Ervin Powell, 60, of Pikeville, passed away Saturday morning, March 16, 2024.  Mr. Powell was born July 31, 1963 in Indiana and was a son of Appie Radford Powell Crowder and the late Lee Harrison Powell.  Along with his father, he was preceded in death by brothers; Lee Powell, Jr., and Johnny Powell, and sister; JoAnne Littleton.

James loved motorcycles, cars, driving big trucks, and cowboy movies, especially, Tombstone.  More than anything, he loved his family and friends.  He was a great friend to all of his friends.  He had a great personality and was just an all-around great guy.

James Powell is survived by his daughter; Brittany Paige Powell, mother; Appie Radford Powell Crowder, brothers; William Michael Powell, Richard Arthur Powell, sister; Lucinda Katherine Powell Ham, grandchildren; Cillian Milo Powell, Abram James Lee Powell and special friend Cindy Lewis.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations. The Funeral Services will be conducted  3:00 pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home & Cremations with Reverend Richard Radford Sr. officiating.  Mr. Powell will be buried in the Princeton Cemetery.
