Amos “Barney” Ray Crumpler, 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Wilson Pines and Rehabilitation Center. Born on December 28, 1935, in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Joshua Noble Crumpler and Katherine Askew Crumpler.

Amos is survived by his daughter, Monica Pittman, and husband, Gerald; his brother, Wayne Crumpler, and wife, Janie; his sisters-in-law, Anne Crumpler and Doris Crumpler; and special nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Cockrell Crumpler, and his brothers, Doug and Johnny Crumpler.

A service to celebrate Amos’ life will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service with Pastor Aubrey Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends after the committal service at Kenly Cemetery.
