Judith Bell Crumpler

March 16, 2024, 82, Goldsboro —

Judith Bell Crumpler, 82, finished her course on this earth on Saturday, March 16, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Duplin County to the late Leslie James Bell, Sr., and Alene Price Bell on December 13, 1941. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Atlas Crumpler.

Judy retired from Cherry Hospital where she worked for many years as a registered nurse. She was a devoted and loving mother. Her children took priority in her life and she gave them all she had. She always wanted to make sure they knew they were loved and cared for. Her grandchildren held an equally important part of her heart. Judy loved to watch them grow and succeed.

One of Judy’s most enduring traits was her honesty. She was to the point and all knew where they stood with her. But this came from a place of love for her. She was a determined woman but also full of compassion for others. She taught her children the value of respect and hard work. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family and dear friends.

A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Stoney Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at the Crumpler Family Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Judy is survived by her sons, Kevin Crumpler, and spouse, Jacobo Jimenez Sierra of Sims and Robert E. Deans, III and spouse, Maryellen of Morehead City; grandchildren, Robert A. Deans, Daniel W. Deans and Mary Caitlin Deans; brother, Leslie James “Jim” Bell, Jr. of Goldsboro; and sister, Janis B. Fuller of Winter Park, FL.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
