Of Morehead City, NC: Harold Gordon “Harry” Pollock, Jr., 76, passed away Thursday evening, March 7, 2024. Harry was born in Lenoir County, and raised in La Grange, NC to the late Harold Gordon Pollock, Sr. and Sadie Irene Hardy Pollock on June 13, 1947. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Pollock Wade of Snow Hill.

Harry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lynda Jones Pollock, and his two sons, Mark Franklin Pollock and his wife Megan, of Alexandria, VA, and Bryan Charles Pollock and his wife Staci of Raleigh, NC. Brother-in-law, Rand Winston Wade, Jr. of Snow Hill, NC, sister in laws, Frankie Jones Bell (David Bell) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Becky Paulette Jones (Jane Summy) of Raleigh, NC, Brother-in-Law, Luther Frank Jones III (John Doan) Pompano Beach, FL.

Harry was “Grandaddy” to his 4 grandchildren, Connor Kinnaird Pollock (15), Whitaker McKee Pollock (12), Lillian Grace Pollock (5), and Charles Harrison Pollock (2).

Harry was raised in La Grange on the family farm where he grew up to know agriculture and pursued a degree in Agricultural Sciences starting at Campbell University and later at NC State. While attending school in Raleigh, Harry began working at Varsity Men’s Wear which became a passion and he eventually owned the store for many years. After retirement, Harry and Lynda moved to Morehead City and frequented the local restaurants, and enjoyed a daily coffee club with his buddies. Harry loved his family, friends, customers, and the coldest Miller Lite in the ice box.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00.
