Freddie Brewer Davis, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Saturday, March 2nd at Wayne UNC Healthcare. Born in Stedman, NC, he was the son of the late Raymond Davis and Mamie Hall Davis and husband of the late Avis Rye Davis. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, an instructor pilot, and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of Pineview Baptist Church and was a Gideon. Mr. Davis was a barber having owned the Captain’s Quarters Barber Shop in Michigan and the McFly’s Barber Shop in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Davis is survived by his daughter and her husband, Penny, and Don Westover; his son and his wife, Richard and Gail Davis; a brother, Jerry Davis, and a sister, Patsy; two grandsons, Christopher Carter, and Jimmy Ray Carter; and five great-grandchildren, Lilly, Junior, Nathan, Shaun, and Emmett.
