On Thursday at 12:09 a.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the 600 block of W. Oak Street in reference to a ShotSpotter alert for multiple rounds fired. 

As officers arrived in the area, they located Tahjmaleek Heath, 22, Goldsboro, with an apparent gunshot wound to the lower extremity. Heath was taken by EMS to the Emergency Department at UNC Health Wayne. 

Heath had non-life-threatening injuries and is stable. The incident remains under investigation. The Goldsboro Police Department asks that if anyone has any information regarding this incident, please contact the Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division or Crimestoppers.
