Judy McLamb Taylor, 80, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, February 12, 2024. Born in Wayne County on July 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late T. Mclamb and Clara McLamb. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by a daughter, Lea Woodson Taylor.
Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Robert Taylor; sons, Robert A. Taylor and wife, Kimberlee and David C. Taylor and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Mara Jones and husband, Kevin, Russell Taylor and wife, Julia, Stephen Fischer, Jacoby Taylor, and Jordan Taylor; great-grandchildren, Colton Taylor, Spencer Taylor, Westin Taylor, Jayden Fischer, Nolan Fischer, and Leland Fischer; brother, William R. McLamb and wife, Dee; and nephews, Jeff McLamb and Jon McLamb and their families.
For 26 years, Judy worked at O’Berry Center as a pharmacy tech supervisor. In her spare time, Judy could be seen enjoying a good book. Family and Faith were paramount in Judy’s life. A faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro, Judy served in many capacities such as deacon, elder, Sunday school teacher, and Sunday school superintendent along with her husband. Nothing made Judy happier than getting together with her family. Her love for them knew no bounds and each moment spent together with them was a memory she cherished forever.
A graveside service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m. The family will gather for a time of visitation at Seymour Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
