Douglas McArthur Johnson went to his heavenly home Sunday, February 11, 2024, at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro at the age of 82.
Mr. Johnson was born in Harnett County on June 15, 1941, to the late Jack Lee and Laura James Johnson.
He is survived by one son, Charlie Johnson, and wife, Rita of Pikeville; one foster son, Douglas Ray Goff of the home; one brother, Jesse Johnson and wife, Kathy of Goldsboro; two sisters, Edith Colmore and husband, Don and Jackie Eakes of Goldsboro and two grandchildren, Kelly and Andrew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Johnson, and one brother, Perry Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Olive.
